— Two-headed Lindwyrm:
egg: This opalescent egg shimmers in the moonlight.
hatchling s1: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads that, despite being in different moods, don’t seem to mind each other.
hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has two heads that, despite being in different moods, don’t seem to mind each other.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Two-headed Lindwyrms are a strange breed that are usually only seen at night—especially when the moons are full and they feel their vigor is at its best for hunting. The rest of the time, these dragons are well-hidden deep within caves or crypts; they enjoy sitting in dark places. Each of their heads has a different mood and personality than the other, and since they have different brains, they rarely share the same thoughts—and never the same pain. They are so fully separated, one head can be asleep while the other is awake.

egg: This opalescent egg shimmers in the moonlight.
hatchling s1: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot during the day and dislikes bright lights.
hatchling s2:Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It sleeps a lot during the day and dislikes bright lights.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: An almost strictly nocturnal breed, Ciriax Lindwyrms are especially attuned to the moons’ cycles. They spend nights patrolling the edges of their territory, aggressively fending off intruders while they feast on their prey. After two or three nights of feeding, often around the time of at least one full moon, Ciriax Lindwyrms retreat to the recesses of their cave or underground homes. These dragons make it particularly difficult to travel on nights that are well-lit by moonlight, often to an unsuspecting adventurer’s dismay.
egg: Electric sparks dance across the surface of this egg.
hatchling s1: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow like fire and it has a spark at the end of its tail.
hactling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow like fire and it has a spark at the end of its tail.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Electric Dragons are masters of electricity, capable of generating charges at will. They can produce different amounts of electricity depending on their mood and time of year. During mating season, their sparks become brighter to attract potential mates. Electric Dragons aren’t usually a danger to other dragons, but they do use their power to attack predators and prey.

egg: Bright sparks glide across the surface of this egg’s shell.
hatchling s1: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.
hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

adult: Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Dark Myst Pygmies are, despite their dark and gloomy appearance, merry creatures that are usually seen in dark swamps playing among tree branches. These small dragons love humidity, as it keeps their skin well-hydrated, and are most happy when it is raining or foggy. They feed off larvae and insects and occasionally hunt for tiny lizards and frogs.

hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a somber color, but is surprisingly playful.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Mistlet Pygmies thrive in humid environments and are most content when frolicking in the rain or fog. The cheerful demeanor they exhibit provides a remarkable contrast to their shadowy appearance, bringing joy in otherwise gloomy environments. Mistlets are an especially beautiful sight in long summer evenings, as their streak of vibrant scales catch the fading sunlight. They spend a great deal of their time foraging for edible roots and insects, and sometimes enjoy treats in the form of small fish or frogs.
egg: This tiny egg shines like a pearl.
hatchling s1: Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. As soon as it hatched it headed to the sea.
hatchling s2: Aww... It's a cute baby dragon. As soon as it hatched it headed to the sea.
And look! It lost its fins and grew wings instead. It must be close to maturing.
adult: Seawyrm Pygmies are tiny dragons that live by the sea. They mostly fly above the ocean, but occasionally they dive into the water to pick up plankton or tend to their offspring. Hatchlings are born with tiny fins that help them swim and only live in the water. A Seawyrm Pygmy's mating game consists of a dance in which the two dragons spin above the water then dive to the sea and hunt. Eggs are usually laid in the sand or at the bottom of shallow parts of the sea.

And look! It lost its fins and grew wings instead. It must be close to maturing.
adult: Seawyrm Pygmies are little dragons that live by the ocean, coasting on the winds above and diving down straight into the water whenever they spot a choice fish. Before their wings grow in, they spend the majority of their time in the sea, their tail fin extending over halfway up their bodies and allowing them to maneuver quickly and easily through the reefs. As they age, they give up some of their maneuverability in the water as that fin recedes into a tail fin better suited for flight. When a Seawyrm Pygmy finds a mate, they will perform synchronized dives together before burying their eggs in the shallow sands, where their eggs can hatch protected from larger predators.

adult: Seragamma Wyverns are vicious raptors from volcanic valleys. They are fast and agile hunters with great vision. They are mostly active during evening and night. Seragammas are not only notorious for killing anything that can provide them with sustinence, but also their opponents during mating season. Such fights are usually accompanied by loud shrieks, used as a warning for other creatures not to interfere. Rivalry and fighting between male Seragammas tends to cause them to avoid their own gender; however, males will sometimes group up with more than one female.

hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It shrieks for food everytime you get close.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Serrati Wyverns are a fierce breed of dragon typically found in volcanic areas or in desert scrubland. With their keen vision, these fearsome predators can pick out well-camoflauged prey from the slightest movement. They are named for the double rows of serrated teeth that line their beaks, which allow these wyverns to maintain an unbreakable grip on prey while they tear into their target with deadly hooked claws. Though these dragons are combative with nearly everything, they are surprisingly well-mannered when raising their offspring in communal nests. Males, however, tend to be chased off as soon as eggs are laid.
egg day: This egg displays the colors of both dawn and dusk.
hatchling s1: Aww... It's a cute baby drake. It has the colors of a bright summer day.
hatchling s2: Aww... It's a cute baby drake. It has the colors of a bright summer day.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Day Glory drakes are radiant and friendly creatures that love the company of humans. They are so friendly, in fact, that they will eat food and treats right from a person's palm. Despite their friendliness, they aren't an easy target for predators due to their excellent flying abilities; when danger approaches, they are able to vanish within seconds. Breeding only occurs during the day when the sun is warm.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.
— Night Glorydrake:
egg night: This egg displays the colors of both dawn and dusk.
hatchling s1: Aww... It's a cute baby drake. Its dark colors resemble the night.
hatchling s2: Aww... It's a cute baby drake. Its dark colors resemble the night.
And look! It's grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: Unlike their diurnal relatives, Night Glory Drakes are shy and reserved. Active during the night, they are often mistaken for bats and chased away from human settlements. With their excellent agility and night vision, they are perfectly adapted to nocturnal life. Breeding only takes place during evenings after the dark settles in.

adult: As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.
egg: This egg gives off a beautiful glow.
hatchling s1: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.
hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
adult : Soulpeace Dragons aren’t easy to spot in the wild, but their rather rare appearances are said to be good omens. Folklore speaks of them as being able to cure curses. Though this has never been been confirmed, humans often set up traps in hope of catching feathers from a Soulpeace Dragon’s wings. As a result of their hunting, these wise dragons have become scarce over the years; they have migrated to remote regions where they can live a more carefree lifestyle.

hatchling s1: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.
hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.

adult: Sophrosyne Dragons are a rare sight, typically making themselves known only to protect and heal the vulnerable. A visit from one serves as a reminder that kindness prevails, and that there’s always hope for positive change. While it is known that they possess the power to reverse botched spells, some claim they can even cure methodically-cast curses. This has never been formally documented, but these dragons have been seen arriving in the aftermath of violence, and the scars of tragedy seem to heal faster in their wake. The feathers of a Sophrosyne have thus become a symbol of perseverance and light in the face of darkness.
egg: This egg is wet from the waves and has bright red stripes.
hatchling s1: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hatched with fins and it loves being in the water.
hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hatched with fins and it loves being in the water.
And look! It grew larger and developed a secondary set of fins. It must be close to maturing.
adult: Red-finned Tidal Dragons are sociable creatures that dwell in warm waters populated by coral reefs and tropical fish. It is unusual to see a lone Red-finned Dragon, as they travel in large groups for defense and hunting. Although they spend most of their time underwater, these dragons will sometimes pop their curious heads above the surface to watch the sun or follow passing ships. With their long, flexible tails swirling in mesmerizing shapes, males are thought to be among the most graceful of sea creatures during their courtship dances. Their beautiful dances never go unnoticed by the opposite gender, and are very often rewarded.

hatchling s2: Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Right after hatching it excitedly hurried into the water.
And look! It has gotten larger and gained vibrant red markings! It must be close to maturing.
adult: On sunny days when the sea is clear and sparkling, coastal villages are often treated to a spectacular sight. While normally shy, Tideweaver Lindwyrms are emboldened by fair weather, and when one starts to dance, the rest soon follow. However, their intricate fins and complex dances are more than just a dazzling show. Tideweavers rely on slight changes in their movements and fin positions to communicate with others of their kind. This communication is key; the lindwyrms are almost always found traveling within tightly bonded family groups. To show affection, they have been known to gently hold one another with their small front legs.

Earthgirl
